It's a bath bomb party

Bath bombs, peacock chairs, and roses – little party guests had a botanically blissful time at this creative birthday celebration.

Like most six-year-old girls, Rosa loves creating things, especially if the activity involves mixing, squishing, and colours. Rosa and her friends had a wonderful time dressing up, eating delicious treats, and making their own bath bombs at this darling celebration. Rosa’s mum, blogger Gerardine Baxter from My Kid’s Party (mykidsparty.nz), created “Rosa’s Botanical Bar” with shelves stocked full of natural ingredients for the girls to create their own bath bombs. Rosa loved foraging for and collecting the dried flowers and herbs, which she started doing months before her party.

The celebration was a floral dream, highlighted by a silk flower chandelier above the party table. Beautiful garden roses in pretty coral shades graced the centrepiece, with a candlestick painted in mint by Rosa to match her peacock chair. Cane chairs were a feature on the dessert table, with two miniature versions holding the birthday cakes. A balloon garland made by Gerardine in white and silver adorned the dessert table.

A chic white dresser was filled with enticing party food, included trendy stamped cookies, cupcakes, layered dessert jars, candy floss, and some coconut ice made by the birthday girl herself. Party guests also enjoyed loaded milkshakes for an indulgent treat.

The real fun of the occasion began when the guests got to create their own bath bombs to take home. Using the natural ingredients stocked in Rosa’s Botanical Bar, they measured, mixed, and squished themselves lots of colourful bath bombs. At the end of the day, their bathtime treats made perfect party favours to take home. Rosa smiled and giggled throughout her whole party, and now she loves nothing more than getting into the tub to enjoy her homemade birthday bath bombs!
