Make lunch easy and fun for your kids. Let them create their own lunch from a range of healthy options, and they will be much more interested in eating it.

Asides from love, I believe the greatest gift you can give your kids is nutrition. Strong healthy bodies can be built only from what goes in your mouth, so make this a healthy choice. If you want your kids to eat healthily, you must lead from the front. Make great food choices a part of your family culture, and have some fun with growing your own food – sprouting, in pots on a window sill, or metre-square gardens. Check out your pantry and fridge. Are they full of great food choices that move you closer to health? If not, it’s time for a clean out. Then restock with simple, unprocessed foods. A good rule of thumb is the less ingredients and the closer it is to its natural state, the better.
