How can I tell if my child is ready for toilet training?

If your child is able to follow simple instructions, understands words about the toileting process, verbally communicates other sensations, expresses a need to go to the toilet verbally, keeps a nappy dry for two hours or more, get to the potty, sits on it and then gets off the potty, can pull down own nappy, pull-ups or underpants, or shows an interest in using the potty or wearing underpants, then your child may be ready to toilet train.
