On Saturday the 11th of February the Linwood Community Arts Centre will be hosting the annual Inner City East Multicultural festival at the Doris Lusk Corner adjacent to the Centre on the SE corner of Worcester / Stanmore Rd from 11am – 3pm.
The festival is a celebration of the neighbourhoods cultural diversity. Food, craft and ethnic stalls will feature along with a “main stage” hosting a variety of cultural entertainment. There will be something for everyone, childrens entertainment have-a-go stone carving and raranga weaving feature in the round up of entertainment. The Inner-city east Multicultural Festival is a small but vital step in aiding cultural understanding while celebrating diversity.
A hangi will be available from 12 noon, costing $7 per person.
In the EASTSIDE GALLERY there will be a group exhibition of Artworks with a cultural theme. The Gallery will be open to the public on the festival day and will run for a preiod of 3 weeks finishing on Sat 4th March.
